NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Closure of Bank of Jamaica Due to the Anticipated Impact of Hurricane Melissa
The Meteorological Services of Jamaica, in Bulletin Number 39, states that Hurricane Melissa is expected to make landfall either tomorrow night, Monday, 27 October 2025 or on the morning of Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 230 miles per hour and heavy rainfall with risks for flash floods and mud slides are expected. As a consequence, Bank of Jamaica will be closed to the public on Monday, 27 October 2025 and Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
